I am very shame to say that I am a citizen of andhra pradesh state. Library & Information Science course was spoil the so many students lives in Andhra Pradesh. There is no recruitment since last Twenty five years in each and every corner of the library related jobs. My humble request is to ban the library science education in Andhra Pradesh state and save the next generation youth lives.

Ramanjineya garu

how many posts are granted and how many applied for this jobs

do your know unemployment is a burning problem present day in our state , special in library science

Thank moulali garu your opinion about our state

Same situation we are experiencing  in Kerala .No opportunities for librarians. All schools having libraries.Govt is giving every year a  grant to schools for library .but they do not appoint librarians .They says it should make excess financial  crisis to the govt. For public libraries kerala psc invite applications from diploma holders along with graduates .For one position  thousands of people apply .If all the schools appointed the qualified librarians to their libraries , almost all professionals will get the job.But every year ,colleges start the library science courses.I had my graduation in 2002.Still I am working in a private CBSE school.very law salary we are getting .I can apply for the govt post only up to December 2018.I am really disappointed to studied such a course.

Dear Sir

Same situation in Karnataka, there are lot of vacancies in Public Libraries, Govt.Degree Colleges, Govt.PU Colleges but government is not interested to filling these vacancies.

In Karnataka

1.Lot of Govt.Degree College Libraries run by college clerks.

2. Lot of Public Libraries run by 10th, PUC holders OR CLIB/DLIB holders

3.And there is no libraries and librarians in PU Colleges.

It's not a problem of government, we are not forcing government to fill the vacancies, we are not raising our hand, there is no unity in library professionals, associations are keep silent.

It will definitely harm the education system of the state.

YES your right mr.Mahesh garu they are running libraries only 10th and inter ,

The universities and government is ban this course .

They are not fill the job , why the course is running in the different universities, today i see the ANU university in guntur but one library is not there.

yes its true, no one in this state great leader like Lakshman rao sir( Telangana state) V R BAD LUCK. PLZ ALL OF U SEND REPRESENTAION THROUGH ALL AREAS LIKE MSGS, MAILS N LETTERS TO THE AUTHORITY. WE EAGERLY WAITING FOR NOTIFICATIONS IN LISc DEPT

I also wrote so many letters to the Chief Minister about library vacancies in Andhra Pradesh. They do not consider our requests to fill up the vacancies in JL, DL , Public Libraries.

Pavan garu

This is Mohan from Andhra Pradesh.

In Andhra Pradesh state universities don't fallow right ways to fill (contract basis posts) assistant professors and professors posts. they don't have minimum standards also.

In engineering colleges fill the librarian posts at the time of NAAC verification and after that decreasing their required vac. and also pay very low starts 6000,6500,7000,max 9000 4r M.L.I.Sc post graduate holder.

very poor for Us.
