Dear Madam,

ERP based library software are good in terms of integrated and embedded data, which easily can be migrated from other dept. to library(mostly related to the users). But it has lot of problems. You are adviced to choose separate library software not ERP based. Better if you choose koha, which is having standard world community or good popular proprietary software in library domain.

thanks...

the enterprise logic does not work in library - the cluster of application for universe of knowledge and integrating into local academia, research or practice  is totally different from the business or other service enterprise. there are many application available - latest is web-scale management and discovery

Thank You Sir,

It's very much informative and best compilation delivered to us on the topic. It is right time to think globally and act locally from the beginning of the system. This phenomenon will reach to you your user easily.

regards,

ERP based Library Software is only good for individual institute. But when we talking globally ERP didnt have library standard they only automate all the activities for individual institute purposes with restriction.

Yes Sir,...it is a real concept can be observed easily in ERP based system.

I think you are purchased any Library Management Software which is easily link to ERP module.  First you are consult your Computer Technical person for link to ERP module.

It is not think globally and act locally  ..... actually it is think globally and also act globally -- because of its reach  ..... Integrated system  are not just confined to -- institution-centric procedure and activity, they are web-based for group of institution

Yes Sir,

Thank you.

I have using the ERP Software in the Library.ERP based library software are good in terms of integrated and embedded data.

thanx all .. It has installed DDC as well Anybody knows how to use DDC no. I am new to this

Madam,

I would like to suggest you to instead of copying and pasting the number of classification you visit any nearest library and learn how to classify a particular book. Copy cataloging is good but not a solution.

anybody know how we can get ddc no.s for books online.
