Do not use virtual machine because koha dependencies are heavy. so that u should use fresh installation of ubuntu or use dual booting in your computer and after that following installation menu.

Hi,

Windows is not recommended for Koha as many others have pointed out, you should go for linux. But as you seem to be very adamant to try with that you can consult the documentation that I prepared for my Online MLIS students sometime back and they found it useful. You can find the documentation here,

http://publications.punlib.net/obsolete_files/Installing_Koha_on_Wi...

Remembe the koha on windows is only good for learning purpose not meant for production server. For linux you can go for liveDvds available out there or if you want to try with an virtual image you can find it here,

http://publications.punlib.net/publications.php?id=00000000040

This virtual image I created is on Debian Squeeze. If you find any issues/comments report back.

Hope that helps. Best of Luck.

Cheers...
