Dear All,

Mai aur meri research aksar baatein krti hain....

In a lifetime of being wrong at many a point, I was never more wrong. It was I, not he, who was wandering in the periphery. It was he, not I, who lived in the blaze.

“The time will come when diligent research over long periods will bring to light things which now lie hidden. A single lifetime, even though entirely devoted to the sky, would not be enough for the investigation of so vast a subject... And so this knowledge will be unfolded only through long successive ages. There will come a time when our descendants will be amazed that we did not know things that are so plain to them... Many discoveries are reserved for ages still to come, when memory of us will have been effaced.”

“You'd be amazed how much research you can get done when you have no life whatsoever.”

regards,

Ajit P.

Ha! Ha!! Ha!!,

But Dear Sri Siddu,

The answer is within my post.

In the last paragraph.

As I believe, Research is not meant for Aam Students (like Aam Aadmi!) the community within which I belong.

For knowledge  etc. the adjectives you have so flatteringly used, all I can say in reply is about a Rural Bengali proverb "A Farmer who has tilled the land throughout his life; it is rather surprising if he does not know when ts the season to sow the seeds!!" As a Library professional I have elapsed over three decades; and if still I am not knowing of its whereabouts; simply speaking, what have I been doing for so many years??

Sincerely,

Siddhartha S. Ray, Calcutta

Dear Sir,
Who dare say you are an Aam Admi? No one is going to buy this claim of yours. You are a Khaas Admi & we all know that. And that is why I wondered the reason for the letters 'Dr.' not adorning your name. Regarding the Bengali proverb you mentioned in your reply, it is again nothing but your humility - the surest mark of the most knowledgeable man that you are.
Some people simply age and some others mellow and mature and in the process they lighten the lives of several others coming their way. You belong to the second category - the category of great persons.
