CALIBER-2025 "Library 2047: Democratizing Knowledge towards Viksit Bharat" at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh

Are Library and Information Professionals are sweepers?

In Gujarat the Library and Information Science professionals have no value. We are like peon. Our salary is 900 to 2,500 per month, but our expenditure on education is Rs. 22,000.

My friends please do something to improve the situation. We have to evolve to demonstrate what really the librarianship is.

Some strong library association should be formed.

You are right Sir! this problem in whole India but this is fewness in library professionals My question why they are agree on 900 to 2500 salary .Library professional have not unity really.

U RIGHT SIR. THEY ARE FULLISH WHO TAKEN BUT THEY ARE ALSO WHO OFFERS!!

Dear Mr. Harshal,

This is not in Gujrat only, but our profession is being suffered more or less in each and every state. A big revolution is needed urgently, but sorry to say after Dr. Ranganathan no professional is seeming capable making of next resolution. It is the gift of Dr. Ranganathan and Dr. Deshmukh that, we are still being considered as equivalent to Lecturer or higher position.

Very early our profession needed a big movement otherwise the future of library professionals is very dark.

Dear Tiwari Ji,

This problem in each and every state and only Ranganathan and Deshmukh Sahab are capable for do something for library science .Nobody have capability to complete CC7 Scheme then who improve status of Library Science Professionals.

sir this is not only the problem in gujrat but also in india.
it very sad NEWS for LIS PROFESSIONALS.

yes ..ishiliye bolta hu ki BLISC and MLISC studnets ko 2500 nahi milna chiye
