Be good at the latest trends & subject in our LIS and better to acquire more DIPLOMAs in LIS like PGDLAN, PGD in DIGITAL LIBRARY & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (an e-learning course from TISS) etc. What is your SCORE in UGC-NET? Hope you will succeed in it. GOOD LUCK.

Dear Friends,

1. I have seen all the comments, first i would like to attention of those who have done their MLIS from IGNOU. Please guise dont worry, your future is safe. IGNOU MLIS is one of the unique programme with theory, practical and seminars and credit based which has outstanding curriculum. .It is a Central University, which course is approved of all the agencies like UGC etc. Even DEC certificate is provided by IGNOU itself. Even its course are recognized in other countries  including commonwealth countries.

2. After having 2 or 3 year experience it does not matter, from where a person has done MLIS. Generally IGNOU students are those who are already in job. \

3. If any organisation  dont want to hire correspondence students then it is there policy and narrow mind ness. If you have ability you must get job.

4. Try to qualify national level compatative exam like NET, SLET and other govt written exam, then no body can put questions on your ability.

5. Finally I would like to share my experience being a IGNOU Student. I was working and then i done CICTAL(certificate in ICT application in Library) (71%), BLIS (75%)and MLIS from IGNOU(Gold Medal) from  IGNOU and qualified UGC NET cum JRF in my first attempt. In addition to this, I have worked reputed private universities and govt organisation. Even, i qualified 3 Govt exam and got the appointment letter also. All above because the knowledge gain from IGNOU Materials.

6. Finally conclusion is that, if you prove yourself no body questions on your ability.

Therefore, my advised to  all the friends, please do not worry, do hard work, you will get the sucess.

All the best

HS Bisht

IGNOU
