What is the UGC Norms for Assistant Librarian of a University

Please tell me what is the latest UGC norms and eligibility criteria for applying for the post of assistant librarian of a university.

m.l.i.sc. 55% with NET OR Ph.D. as per ugc norms 2009 for general candidate

“All candidates having M.Phil degree on or before 10th July, 2009 shall remain

exempted from the requirement of NET for the purpose of appointment as

lecturer/Assistant Professor. Further, all candidates who have either obtained

Ph.D degree on or before 31st December, 2009 and candidates who had

registered themselves for Ph.D degree on or before 10th July, 2009 and are

subsequently awarded Ph.D degree, shall remain exempted from the

requirement of NET for the purpose of appointment as Lecturer/Assistant

Professor”.

M.Phil candidate is not eligible at all

Dear Sunil,

I have one question to you I have submitted my my PhD fees on before 31, of Dec, 2009 but exam was conducted before 10 of July 2009  after exam university has inform to submit my PhD fees subsequently. can I exempted from requirement of NET for the purpose for Apply Lecturer/ Assistant Librarian.

I am very confuse that's why I am not be understand weather I should be eligible as such above mentioned condition.

i. Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation
Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a
consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of
library.
ii. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or
any other agency approved by the UGC.

At Agricultural  universities,  Masters degree with 55% and NET or SLET or Ph D with course work and one paper published  in  NAAS rated journal. if with Ph D two papers published in  NAAS rated journal
