Why Library professionals are not welcome in the society?

Library personnel are not respected. Why?

1. Library professinals works are mostly unaccountable.
2. Regular reporting to the management or to the'Reporting Authority, with a checklist of attempted works, will make our work conspicuous.
3.Also we should show ourselves through regular communication with staff/students/ and to the people in the institution/organisation.
4. Services like compiling relevant news and sending newletters, demarking an area on instituion general noticeboard for library activities like book reading, general interest/outside subject lectures.Alerting about user interest articles, individually or group.
5. Playing a role as Public Relations in Projecting institution's developments for within/outside communications.
6. Being a good counsellor for career growth to students.
