Clinical skills are first learned in the Skills Laboratory (SKL), using simulations, before application to real patients. The Clinical Skills Lab is a state-of-the-art learning center and serves as a major learning resource environment for medical students. It is an island of knowledge equipped with dozens of simulators and models to enhance the clinical skills of students and doctors. The skill Lab significantly improves medical students skills performance.Medical skills laboratories do lead to improvement in procedural skills compared with standard or no training at all when assessed by simulator performance and immediately post-training.The general objective of the Clinical Skills Laboratory is to provide hands-on learning experiences to medical students for the practice of clinical skills which are deemed essential for the effective and safe management of their future patients.
