Selection of Internal Candidates in the Interview

Dear Friends,

Since last few years a trend is increasing to select the internal candidates against open post. We have been witnessing that written exams and interviews are conducted to fulfill the whole process. But pre-determined candidates are selected. Examination process is just an eye wash. Nobody will deny for selecting the internal candidates, but don’t make other candidates fool. If there is no promotion policy in the institutes for internal candidates who deserves for that post, then promotion policy should be formulated for them. The candidates coming from various places of the country are hoping that somebody from them will be selected, but they don’t know that result has already been prepared and they are just wasting their money as well as time.

I have been witnessing case of one of the prestige institute of Library Science in India since last five years. Most of the time, they have selected the internal candidates. The question is that, why they are calling number of candidates for the interview and wasting public money by giving TA to the outsider candidates.

Please give your feedback on this issue.

But those people are safe in the hands of MANAGEMENT.

The MMM factor Money Minded Managers.........

Dear Sir,

i have faced this problem. but What could be the solution to this problem. This candidate has left the biggest disease, this is our prayer that our system does not come by that which is already fixed, it is our money and time wasted.

इस समस्या / भ्रस्टाचार का समाधान होना चाहिए, तभी हम लाइब्रेरी साइंस ( LIS ) वालों का भला हो सकता है.

The problem / corruption should be resolved, then we Library Science (LIS) may be good ones.

The candidates who attended the written test and interview for the post Professional Assistant,Semi-Professional Assistant & Library Assistant of  has alleged that the Central University once again made a mockery to the general candidates by making appointments through back door, this was done by appointing internal candidates working on contact basis as permanent staff.

It may be noted that Central University of Kerala has conducted the written test & p ractical test for the post of Professional Assistant,Semi-Professional Assistant & Library Assistant on 22nd December,213. and had the final interview on 29th January,2014 .The results of this was published on 31st January,2014 on University Website.

In an astonishing move this time again only internal candidates who currently work there on contract basis was selected for the confirmed post like in the last time. There was a total of 4 vacancy opened for library positions in different 3 posts.Out of 4 persons three were selected from internal, existing employees who have been working with the Central University. Surprisingly two persons got promoted from existing permanent post.

Last year also same practice was followed the University in the appointment not giving any chance to the external Candidates. There is high rumor that even question papers too leaked for the internal candidates for getting more marks in the examination. The illegal appointment happens like this candidates mentioned - First the University calls for the candidates to fill temporary or contract vacancy in library department. They will fill this contract position via backdoor and after some time they will again advertise for permanent vacancy for the same position. The same existing candidates will apply for the permanent post and finally they will only be selected among the general candidates. The panel will be internal to the University and no experts will be called from outside for evaluation etc. Hundreds of out side applicants are fools without understanding anything.

The candidates opinion ed that this back door practice has to be stopped at any cost and they will be approaching the court to stay the appointments since it was not conducted in a transparent manner.
