As per UGC, NET is a must for recruiting to the post of Assistant Professor in the Colleges or University and Assistant Librarian in University, Librarian in Colleges and the Ph.D. degree holders (if they are as per the 2009 Ph.D. regulation) are exempted from the NET. So the NET holders should get the priority over the Ph.D. holders. However if you have both then it is good.

You need to have SIFARISH of some big shot of jury members of selection committee........rest of all they can do themselves............they will not ask you,,,,,if you are NET holder or PhD holder........for them SIFARISH is big degree of candidate............:)

True!!!!

I agree with you mam.

I persnly blve that ..SIFARISH is the highest qualification..NET/PH.d r minim qualifications.. it is the most nationwide culture in out country..

details: SIFARISH

Bitter Truth....

nothing important in India hear want only money and source for the selection.....

I think today corruption is everywhere so you should have both: ie. proper qualification and approach of Chief Minister ( concern state) for getting selection for asst. professor grade post.

I am agree you Mr.Sunil ,Basic Qualification with money and recommendation is essential.

I am also agree with all of you, friends..........

Some NIT's not calling for interview, even if NET with JRF.

What to do?
