How to inculcate reading habit of the students in this digital era

I have been in a Management institute for a long time. I always used to feel trouble with the students who are not interested to read printed information sitting in the library and those who comes to the
library only to issue text books for the sake of the examination. No doubt we
are bound to walk side by side with technology at per demand of the digital
era, people have to get the information in no time from anywhere (like as  virtual
and digital environment) but still readers should not lose the habit of
reading. I need some useful tips how to increase the reading habit and use of
the printed information.

you should not take any tension about the reading habit of your's college student. reading habit may be created by the faculty of the concerning institute. if any institute's faculty assign more assignment to student related to text based materials then student will be force to come in library. in your institute , faculty member is not caring about the more assignment.
You are right sir. That is what i m telling. The reading habit of the students are now becoming only exam oriented. my concern is that besides faculty members what we librarian can do more in this matter
for attracting users towards library there should be three things in our minds 1. physically well equipped 2. economically benefited for the users such as photocopy charges etc. and lastly,3. emotionally attachment (that every users feel comfort and happy to come library due the cooperativeness of library staff ).
I think you catch the nerve.
Thank you for your reply sir

Dear Ms.Kankana,
Reading is a vital skill that every one needs to develop and grow. Its a noble thought that you have keen interest in promoting the reading habit among student-learners,here are a few tips you can adopt and see the change:
1)You can paste some effective positive quotes on reading in the library.
example: “To acquire the habit of reading is to construct for yourself a refuge from almost all the miseries of life.” — W. Somerset Maugham
2) Finding Appropriate Reading Materials and knowing the students interests. You need to subscribe a variety of useful newspapers, magazines, journals and variety of reference sources and display them attractively so that students feel motivates to spend their time in library and read atleast for a few minutes.Reading should be made enjoyable.
3) CREATE INTEREST:Always motivate the students to develop a passion for reading by explaining them the benefits.
4)Set up a classroom library - If a student thinks reading is boring, it's because he or she is reading the wrong books.
5) Assign independent reading - For some classes, requiring 20-40 minutes of independent reading outside of class may be appropriate
6) Encourage students - Having students share and express their thoughts on their reading builds confident readers.
7)Beyond providing resources, the library needs to offer an impressive range of programs and services for students (even in vacation) that connect them in meaningful ways to the collection to improve reading and learning.
8) You can demonstrate the benefits of reading through effective audio-visual presentations in an hour for all students.
Thank you mam, I needed such type of suggestions only. You are exactly right "Motivation" should be the primary factor to get reader so that printed resources can also be equally treated and used like electronic resources.
nice suggestion from kavita.
we r totally agree with this.
