for no publisher.....[s.n.], for no place of pub. [s.l.] and for no year. mentioned as [19-?], may be applied.

Hello Sampa,

Thanks for your reply. Will you please tell me what is the full form of s.n. and s.l.?

Somi

..

no publisher..[s.n] means sine nominee

no place....[s.l.] means sine loco

no dat.....[n.d] menas no date. if u don't have any idea about century, date etc.

Dear Madam, if no place of publication is found then write [s.l.] stands for Sine Loco means no location. If no place of publication is found then write [s.n.] stands for Sine Nomine means no name. If there is written that the book is published during some time in 1900, then write [19-?], if written as published in some time during fourth decade of 1900 or 1940-1948, then write [194?] and if no date is found then write [n.d.] stands for No Date.

Thanks Wasim for your reply.

for no publisher or no place [s.l. & s.n.] and [n.d.] for no year of publication.

all area should be mentioned separately, within[...] bracket. [..] means it is taken apart from title page, but anywhere of that particular document.

Thanks everyone for your timely help.
